Chipper’s Sends Two Talented Stars to Las Vegas to Compete in a Karaoke Contest
June 24, 2010 – Charlene Coran of Longmont Colorado and Veronica Wilson, a local resident of Fort Collins will be singing their hearts out this weekend at one of the country’s major karaoke contests thanks to their karaoke skills and our local bowling center, Chipper’s Lanes.

They both entered the International Bowling Karaoke Superstar Contest at Chipper’s Lanes, Charlene at the Broomfield Center and Veronica at the North Fort Collins Center. They sang their way through the preliminary rounds and will be competing in the International semi-finals which will take place in Las Vegas this weekend.

The International Bowling Karaoke Superstar Contest is run exclusively at bowling centers across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.  This is Chipper’s second year putting the contest on at their Broomfield Center; they have done it for three years at their North Fort Collins location. Local singers have been competing each week since late January for a winning spot in the local finals.  This weekend the women will be performing two songs of their choice among 100+ other finalist at the international competition. There will be three rounds to work through before they will potentially become one of the final 8 contestants.

The First place winner in Las Vegas wins $5000 and performs prior to the featured act at Club Xpo.  Second place receives $2000 and third place $1000. These women are already winners in our eyes and Chipper’s Lanes would like to say Congratulations - Break a Leg Charlene & Veronica!

Chipper’s will begin looking for the 2011 Karaoke Superstar next February, if you  or someone you know has Karaoke talent you should consider participating next year for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas and a position in the International Bowling Karaoke Superstar Contest!
